Ballroom & Latin Dance Classes with idodance - Cornwall

During your first term with idodance you will learn the basic steps of two Ballroom and two Latin American dances.

Aptly named is the Quickstep, the first of the Ballroom dances we introduce you to.  Brisk and energetic, you'll be moving around the dance floor at a fast pace!  Slowing down the tempo, we hope you will enjoy the elegance of dancing the Waltz.

The two Latin American dances are both of Cuban origin.  Sensual and expressive, the Rumba is often referred to as 'the dance of love'.  The same basic dance steps are learnt in the Cha Cha, but danced to a different rhythm.  In contrast to the Rumba this is a bright and lively dance.

If you continue to learn with us you will discover the Ballroom Tango.  Characterised by staccato movements and sharp head turns, this dance is powerful and exciting.  You will experience the delights of the smooth and glamorous Foxtrot and whirling Viennese Waltz.

If you'd like a taste of the fun of the carnival, then the Samba is the dance for you, or take a trip back to the 40's and Jive!  This energetic dance is full of flicks, kicks and spins.
