What styles of dance do you teach?

We teach Ballroom & Latin, Tango Argentino and Authentic 50's Rock & Roll.

What can I expect from my first term with idodance?

As well as having fun, keeping fit and making new friends, you will learn something new each week.  By the end of the ten week course you will have the confidence to get up and dance basic steps / moves in your chosen style. Each week, as well as recapping what you have previously learnt, you will have plenty of opportunity to practice with guidance from your teachers.

What clothing should I wear for Classes?

Dancing is excellent exercise and you will get warm.  Therefore we recommend you wear layers of loose fitting clothing, which you can remove as and when required.

What footwear should I wear to class?

Trainers are not suitable for dancing (unless they are specific Dance Trainers).  We strongly advise you not to wear rubber soled shoes as these could cause injury whilst dancing.  For the Men we recommend dress shoes but not boots.  For ladies, we suggest a shoe with the same heel height that you would wear to a social function.

Where can I buy proper dance shoes?

There are many suppliers of dance shoes that can be found via the internet.  For a truly personal and professional service we recommend you contact Paul and Marina at Dancerama, Redruth on 01209 214458

Do I need to bring anything with me to class?

Please bring water or a soft drink with you as you will be using a lot of energy.  It is important to keep hydrated.  If you want to make notes please bring a notepad and pen.

Do I need to enrol for the whole term or can I pay weekly?

We ask you to commit to the 10 week course in advance.  We have to ensure we have sufficient pupils enrolled in order for a class to go ahead.  We need to book and pay for the halls prior to the term commencing.  Even if you can't attend a class, we have to be there!
